Vacancies at Washington State University Extension
WSU Columbia
County Extension Director/Extension Educator (12-mo, tenure track
faculty position), Dayton, WA. Required: Earned Master's in an agricultural
or closely related discipline. Screening begins December 1, 2004.
The Extension County Director is responsible for the administrative
and educational program leadership representing WSU in Columbia
County. As the only WSU faculty member for the county, the position
must perform the necessary administrative duties as well as integrate
various disciplines from WSU resources to implement needed educational
programs. The Extension County Director serves as departmental chair
in county government and represents all Extension program areas
when communicating with county officials. The Extension County Director
works with an Advisory Committee or system to involve stakeholders
in the program planning process and set priorities at the local
and regional level. The Extension County Director also serves as
a member of the Southeast District Extension Leadership team. For

WSU Whitman
County Extension Educator, Agriculture and Natural Resources (12-mo,
tenure track faculty position), Colfax, WA. Required: Earned Master's
in agricultural discipline, with desire and ability to work broadly
on agricultural and natural resource concerns of the county. This
position is responsible for educational leadership of WSU Extension
programs in Whitman County that address agricultural and natural
resource issues of the county. As an Extension Educator, the faculty
member will address identified needs and issues that are prioritized
through advisory committee and stakeholder processes. For a position
