Basin Ag Research Center Field Day - Moro, Oregon
The OSU Columbia
Basin Agricultural Research Center will have its Sherman Station Field
Day at Moro on Wednesday, June 12. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at
the Sherman County High School in Moro. Buses will provide transportation
to the Sherman Station at 8:20 a.m.
Tours of field experiments
will be from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m. Topics include:
- Drought Tolerance
Study of Winter Wheat - Julio Cereno, OSU
- Tree Health and
Management in Dry Areas - Steve Fitzgerald, OSU
- Annual Spring
Cropping - Don Wysocki and Sandy Ott, OSU
- Downy Brome Controls
in Winter Wheat - Dan Ball, OSU
- Resistance to
Cephalosporium Stripe and Strawbreaker Foot Rot - Chris Mundt, OSU
- Current Status
of the Club Wheat Breeding Program - Mike Moore, OSU
- Management Options
for Dryland Foot Rot - Dick Smiley, and Lisa Patterson, OSU
A hosted lunch will
be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Sherman County High School. Credits have
been requested for pesticide applicator recertification and Certified
Crop Adviser continuing education.
