Feb. 4-5 B NAWG Wheat Industry Forum. A national wheat industry research forum will be held in conjunction with the National Association of Wheat Growers meeting in Nashville, TN. Feb. 18 / 19 B Kronstad Retirement Symposium in Corvallis, OR, and Luncheon at The Dalles, OR. Dr. Warren Kronstad will retire on December 31, 1998, after leading the Wheat Breeding Project at Oregon State University for more than 30 years. A symposium that highlights the role of international organizations like USAID and CIMMYT in meeting world food needs is being held in Corvallis on Feb. 18 to honor Dr. Kronstad. Dr. Norm Borlaug, Nobel Laureate, will be keynote speaker. A luncheon honoring Dr. Kronstad will also be held on Friday, Feb. 19 at the Shilo Inn in The Dalles.
